Does the '33' have any relation to in the sleeve of K where they thank 10,11 and 13 but not 33?

Incidentally, my now wife said yes when I proposed on 10/11/13 .... I honesty didn't plan that!

Congratulations then! :)

2-J: let me know if you need anything digging out, although I don't have it in a searchable form so the better the idea I have of when it was discussed time-wise the more likely I am to be able to find it...

I would love to hear the original (The Lonely Ponies) version of 33 Crows as released on that compilation in 2005, but iirc it was completely impossible to get hold of in 2009, let alone now in 2016. Still if anyone ever comes across a copy (or a copy of the whole compilation for sale) let me know.

I know that m2 said (in the same old forum thread I quoted from before) that she'd ordered that CD from a Japanese online store, but I don't know if she ever received it or not.

Hmm, actually, I haven't received it. I can't remember for sure, but I think I was told by the online store it was out of stock. :(

Just searching and browsing I saw that Bucky released an album "Women, Ladies and Girls (Sing The Bucky Songbook)" and there is a version of '33 Crows' on it. (the description on the Stitch Stitch Records site notes 'As well as Bucky favourites, you'll recognise songs from The Lonely Ponies too. ' explaining the presence of this song, as is / was originally a The Lonely Ponies song rather than a Bucky song.)

And the version of The Bike That I Ride (famously covered / adapated by The Jeevas) from that record is on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yhf31D0TFdU good fun!

Listening to drykid's video again, with Simon singing (I presume this is the original lyrics), it seems Crispian changed the 'story' of the song by switching a part about the other person living with their dad as opposed to some other person (presumably their love). Otherwise the lyrics are the same. (btw I am open to corrections on the original lyrics, hard to hear them).

original version:

I just hope that you'll be happy living with your dad
He's a good man and 'll understand you longer while you're sad
Please be careful that you don't take him for granted [anymore[?]]
Or you might end up with noone that you can call a friend

Kula version:

Well I just hope that you'll be happy living with that clown
He's a good laugh but I doubt he'll understand you when you're down
You be careful that you don't go blow his brains out in the end
Or you might end up with noone that you can call a friend

Did anyone notice that Crispian used the original lyrics at their London gig, at least the "dad"-bit?
