Ok, silly thread here, but because the media seem to have it in for our beloved band I am rating the albums as I see them. Feel free to add your own scores or reviews.

Peasants pigs and astronauts. 10/10
Strangefolk. 7/10
Pilgrim's progress. 8/10

K/PP&A = 10/10
Strangefolk = 8/10 (would have been an 8.5 if they had included the revenge of the king EP songs inc original version of Six Feet Down rather than the later version, and the Freedom loving People EP songs like Big Bad Wolf)
Pilgrims Progress (Deluxe edition with 2nd disc - lots of great songs on it as well) = 8/10
K2:0 = 7.5/10 (the more I listen to it though it's creeping towards 8/10)
Pilgrims Progress (standard album) = 7/10
Both Jeevas albums stand up pretty well compared to KS - 1234 (8/10) and Cowboys and Indians (8/10). Silver Apples is the best KS song that KS didn't record!
I seem to be one of the few people who prefers Strangefolk to Pilgrims Progress slightly.

PP&A- 10/10
K- 10/10
Strangefolk- 8/10
Pilgrims Progress- 9.5-10
K2.0 Still waiting for the damn thing! But I love what I've heard so far.
Not to start a keyboardist debate, but I think a lot of what endears me to the first two albums in addition to everything else is Jay Darlington's superb, very alive sounding keys. Again, not a knock on Harry at all. But Jay is just amazing on the first two albums.
Pilgrims Progress is just such a beautifully diverse album. A real stunner. Strangefolk has it's highs for sure, but a couple of "meh" tracks as well, as most albums by anyone do. So no complaints there really.
K comes out and smacks you in the face to get your attention. Brilliantly so, in fact. PP&A takes you on this beautiful musical journey that you wish could go on longer...

Re: Favourite album?
Completely agree with you 108 battles. The first two albums are just full of energy compared to the last 3 - nothing against Harry but I miss Jay's crazy Hammond organ antics!
For me K and PP&As are easily 10/10! Full of energy, Indian influence and hard hitting riffs and just more going on compared to the last three albums.
SF for me is 5/10 with PP 6/10 and K2.0 6/10.
K2.0 to me is not classic Kula Shaker and just a bit too relaxed - no proper epic riffs or excitement. Nothing like the intro to Great Hosannah or the energy of Hush, Hey Dude or Sound of Drums.
Not enough Indian tunage and again too much western style influence - it's like Crispian still thinks he's in the Jeevas.
The first few songs on K2.0 are good then the middle just dies and then the last two songs bring it back.
Standout for me so far are 'love b with u' and 'get right get ready' but yeah they are just ok not great. It's like an album of b sides. Needs more energy. I'm disappointed but happy it's something new from one of my all time favourite bands. It's like a dull PP&As rather than a sequel to K.
I feel Crispian has never truly recovered from when the media kicked the $€£% out of him and Kula Shaker after PP&As in 1999.
I hope we get a new album and it's a true return to form circa 1996 to 1999!
Apologies if I've upset anyone with my thoughts but I'm a huge KS fan and just a little disappointed with the last few albums - more Jeevas than Kula Shaker.

Hi all!
I´m afraid I´m at the other side... to me Pilgrim´s is the best, in fact one of the best records I ever listened to, pure bliss.
Next is Peasants, same league but not so good sounding.
Then K, powerfull and brilliant but no so inspired.
Then Strange wich, anyway, I like.
And on K-2.0, wich I have not listen enough to make a balanced comparison, I truly believe they keep on the right path, mixing indian and western on their own unique flavour, never mind if it is succesful or not.

Well the great thing is, there's really no wrong answer since all the albums are terrific. One thing I've noticed is that Strangefolk seems to be the least popular one. I guess that's because it's "only excellent".

Pilgrims Progress IS stunning though. Speaking of which, that lovely background vocal in "Barbara Ella" sung by Audrey Evans is also on a few K2.0 tracks, most notably 33 Crows. She does a wonderful job.
